Digital Resources and Metadata Librarian
Available: July 1, 2012.
Terms of Employment: Regular full-time 12-month non-tenure track position with current university benefit package. Salary is $35,000 annually. Position is based on NWOSU Alva campus. Travel to other campuses will be required. Position open until filled.
Duties and Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include: the creation and maintenance of cataloging, classification, and metadata records for all library materials; the development and maintenance of all digital resources including those purchased through vendors and those created in-house. Faculty responsibilities include serving on university committees, keeping abreast of new developments in library service through study and reading, attending professional meetings and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Master of Library and Information Studies from a library school accredited by the American Library Association. Working knowledge of cataloging standards required.
